200 Pounds Beauty
I can’t really remember what I’ve been doing for the whole week, I just know that I’ve been to a lot of places and do a lot of things. We went in to JB on Tuesday to sign up with the studio and had a great seafood dinner.

I also met up with my cousin and went shopping at Wisma while meeting up with Celine.

On Friday, I went for a quick briefing for a 2 days lesson for next week. Soon after the briefing, I rushed down to meet Alex for some discussion. Hmmm… He ‘sounded’ so different from MSN ‘talking’. I guess I was a bit ‘attitude’ too over the MSN. Hehehe… but he is a really nice guy after meeting up with him and he gave his lunch to me when he knows that I have not taken my meal. The discussion went smoothly.

That day wasn’t really great as it rained the whole day. I popped by KP’s house as it’s just a few blocks away. Ya, I missed their wedding day, so I get to see their wedding pictures and their montage too.

I got crazy on Saturday to wake up at 5am! It’s was storming and I’ve to wake up to close all the windows and yet I can’t continue sleep. Anyway, I’m supposed to wake up at 6am and out I go at 7. I took over 2 classes that morning and it’s really tiring to ‘handle’ kids nowadays. 3 hours of lesson had totally drained my energy for the day. Ha…. Anyway, I still love them.

Met up with Wifey for lunch and went to KK and Ren Ci. We’d a great long chat. Hmmm... Gonna continue the session on coming Wednesday then. Wohooo!

The day was long but I’ve not had some moment with Mel for some time the whole week. Both of us were so tired yesterday and yet we proceed for our plan to catch a movie. I want to watch [200 Pounds Beauty]. Lucky we bought the tickets early and as all tickets were sold out when we reached the Cathay! I’m gonna let you all know it’s so so so nice! It’s just like School of Rock or any kind of movies with the concert-feel. This is the only 2nd time that Mel never falls asleep during movie-time!! The song that’s playing at my blog is one of the soundtracks of the movie. Simply love the movie, love all the songs. Definitely enjoy this great Korean comedy. I swear I laughed till my tears dropped. Highly recommend: 9/10.

Movies Makeover
I forgot to mention that I’d watched [Turistas] 2 weeks ago. It’s somehow similar to Chainsaw / Hostel kind of movie. All about ‘pealing’ human live and slowly let them die. It’s a very gruesome movie with the typical ‘travelers-go-holiday and got killed’ story plot. Personal Rating of 6.5/10 for this movie.

Met up with Joe last night and he’d mentioned about watching [The Reaping] even before the show starts screening. Finally yesterday we get to watch the show. It’s about faith and religious kind of story. Most disgusting highlight would be all the insects which I seriously do not like! Arrggh…. 6.5/10 for this movie too. As it seems like those Emily Rose kind of movie to me.

Hmmm… After the show, we continued a second movie right after it. Haa…. Blur Joe thought we’re going to watch a Chinese movie but it’s a Japanese detective plot. It’s about this guy who can enter to people’s dream and starts communicating with them. So there are cases of victims who die in the dream, died in real life. That’s how they got [Nightmare Detective] to help to solve the case. Actually, it’s still like question marks for me that how the ‘killer’ gets to kill and got killed in the end. Joe watched till he fell asleep for awhile when the show starts to get a bit crappy but I feel that the story is kind of ‘fresh’ to me. I rate 6/10 for this show and my advice is not to let this be your last show before you sleep because you’ll be afraid of sleeping and getting into nightmares.

There’s no Movies Makeover, but it’s my makeover session done by my darling cousin. Now she got everything. From manicure & pedicure to beauty facial and now makeup and hairstyling. She’s a professional overall beautician now. She started mani & pedi before M&P got really popular in SG. I got new colours for my nails every week for about 6 months for her practice period. Now I know what are the colours I can carry and what colours that totally don’t suit me. Now poor me have to go through her ‘arts’ on my face!Even after the shoot, I just carry on with this look because it's meant to be for this makeover! Hhehe... And here's my sweet cousin! She repeat a thousand times to have her pretty before I put on blog! So I'm the devil in the picture here. (^_^)One more picture to share... Although I'm not at Yan's boy 1 yr old birthday party as I was at BKK, but she sent me all the photos and I love this! Let me introduce The Spikey!

Happy Meal(s)
Nope… Not Mcdonalds meal but JB meals. We woke up at around 9plus and get ready to drive in to Msia. Picking Jing and Xav up at about 1045am. We went for our first meal of the day and plus a ‘nice’ summon for parking illegally at the roadside. Blah!

After our breakfast, we went for our photography shopping – portfolio shoots. We went for about 2 shops then to the new shopping mall, Jusco Tebrau City. Xav rushed for his favourite quicksilver shopping. Hhaha… Around 4pm, we were hungry and decided for a light snack like cakes or something. Yet… We passed by the stretches of restaurants and one of them look so much like MK! The steamboat! Just being kaypoh, we stopped to take a look at the menu and walked towards other café.

We felt that the cakes are abit expensive and not really worth to eat as snacks. We looked around to decide what to eat and I mentioned: KFC. Xav fine with that and Jing too. I forgot who’s the one who say actually the steamboat’s is ok too. We ended up eating steamboat!! There’s probably around over 10 dishes of the familiar red plates! Yesh... Looks exactly like this and they even have the green noodles... (the pic below is Bangkok-MK)
Can imagine we’d those for tea-break! I hope we get hungry enough for the dinner seafood that I’ve been craving so much! This is the one taken from JB - Johnny (MK-look-alike)
After that, we drove to City Square and shop around for another few more photography shops. Till now, I still feel that one of the shops gave me the best impression. Right from the attitude to the service, the consultant is so friendly, so sincere and not-pushy on her package at all. She brought us to tour around the studio, the set up and everything is so nice! Most importantly, I fell in love with the photos! Oh my… I seldom praise much on people’s photography skill / photoshop skill / background settings / outdoor shoots. I am a difficult and picky customer and yet this shop gives me the right feeling right from the start. I keep my options open and still feel that the rest of the shops do not have the nice photoshoot in terms of skill and the final pictures.

It’s good to have your best friend around to assure the quality that I’ve seen and felt. Throughout the whole process, we keep mentioning that we’ve another couple to join lor. Hehehe… yes… my wifey! She should be there to feel the whole process with me!

Anyway, we still get to eat the seafood which I last ate was about 5 years ago with Jianyang, Jinhong and Ah Gal. Ohhhh… I missed it so much and we really can't quite believe that the four of us ate so much for the whole day. It’s only 3 hours after the steamboat; we ate a 7 dishes meal at night! Totally enjoying… ^_^

Bangkok 2007
Day One
I don't feel like typing that much for this BKK trip. It'll just be repeating from my previous post on BKK 2006. So let the pictures show...

Upon reaching the Condo, we head straight to Lao Phrao for dinner. Yummy MK! I miss it so much! It have a new facelift (slightly small one). They changed their bowls and plates to a nicer one and the tissue box! No more the original plain white with grey top.

Just look at the amount of food we ordered! All piled up and eat till we wanna puke, yet it's so cheap! Only 660baht for the 3 of us which is about $8.80 each!

After dinner, we walk around and slowly we decide to go for a foot massage at the usual place - MAC. Only 150baht for 1.5hrs
After we reach back the Condo, it's cleaning time and we have to put in bedsheets and do the usual - clean the toilets and floor.

Day Two
Miss Joey, Kenneth, Shawn and Gloria will be here at 3pm! We have our nice breakfast (the butter cake) and took some shots. Here is the familiar Elephant Building View from the Condo.
We took alot of self-pictures. The rest can be viewed at my Friendster (of course strictly for friends only). We had our lunch at the BBQ Plaza. Yuan's favourite. Hheee.. It's as equal cheap as MK.After lunch, we happily shop at Mango! Hhaaa... It's not that SG has no MNG but just for fun and we ended up buying 2 tank top. At the alley...Then we head towards Veronica to wait for the rest of them ^_^ We waited from 330pm till 5pm. Ahhh! Their flight got a little delayed plus the jam in BKK. I really wow at their Deluxe room! So nice! Open concept bathroom and round-shape bed! So romantic!I'm hoping we get the bed too when we check in on day 4.

After putting down the bags, we rushed over to my ever-dreaming Platinium! Gosh I miss the mall! Super huge shopping centre with lots of goodies to buy. We managed to get ourselves nice shoes and head towards the Sky Bar.

It is a not-to-be-missed place to go at Bangkok. When we reached level 52, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and ushers to bring us to our table. God! It's so cool. We're like walking on the red carpet and like floating in the air. All eyes on us and the feeling is so amazing. The best night view in Bangkok... After the Sky Bar, we went to Patpong. Super Crowded! We had our full body massage then. 600baht for 2.5hrs and we pay only 300baht because of Mel. My
masseur is so cute that she keep giggling at me when I have any slight discomfort movement. Her partner who's massaging Mel knows abit of English and the 3 of us had a great laugh for not understanding what we try to say. After the massage, we tip each 100baht. Tipping is appreciated especially those hard work they did.

Day Three

The best and busiest in town is the weekend market - Chatuchak.
We went back to shower and 2 hrs later, we meet up at Siam Paragon and while waiting for them... snapping time...

After dinner, they kinda tired and call it a day. It's still early, so Mel brought me and my sis to the Night Bazzar. Here it is - the Signature Photoshoot of Mel. Lovely isn't it? Nice angle and good framing.
We walked till 11pm then we are happy to go back and rest.

Day Four

Leaving the Condo and checking in to the Veronica Hotel. They actually gave us a suite!! So cool!
The Entrance

The Bath in the Room

The activity of the day - Nail Art!! Pink with flowers for my hand and elegant black+red for my leg. Total of only B450! Where to find such in SG... They were super fast, took only about 15-20mins for each set lor.
My sis got ice-creams and cake on her hand and cats on her leg. That's it! Cats ok!! So skillful right. See her 2nd toe, there's even TWO cats!! Done in less than 20mins.

After dinner, we get to watch the Bangkok's biggest drag show cabaret features more than 50 katoeys (ladyboys) in a gender-bending mind-dazzling show - Calypso. Mel and me discussed about watching it again as we had watched it only at last Sept! Mel paid to go. It's B1000 to watch the show ok! Because of Mel's friend, we get to watch at only B300. This is the most entertaining character. Everyone loves (him). After a photoshoot, it's a courtesy to tip them. That is Thailand. ^_^After show, massage time!

Day Five
Off we go to the four-face buddha. Our face are not over-powered by the cause of the sun (although it's super hot everyday abt 39 degree) but it's the 'water' we splash on oursleves.

Then we back to Platinium to finish up the shopping. It's complete NOT-ME at all when I'm in the mall. I go crazy in there!

Back to MBK for last minute shopping.
Dinner at Chinatown. I miss the Shark fins soup! Chinatown in BKK is as the top location for cheap seafood. So by then, I'd really bad headache. Super sad! The super weather is driving me crazy everyday with the high heat, i finally got the spell then. I got to take the panadol immediately after the meal. After meal, seems like everyone are tired and we went back to the hotel. It's snapping time again...
Seriously, I love the out of closet picture! And the rest are simply......... lovely. =pMy man - behind the camera...

Day Six

One last shoot of the Hotel.

We just get to the nearby malls (Robinson) for last minute buying. Ended up, we'd KFC for lunch. They don't have coleslaw nor whipped potato! In return, they have something like a fried rice and funny salad/potato with beans and corns. Back at the Hotel Lobby.
To conclude, I love my nail colours, and I manage to find the bottle at the very last minute! And of course the wonderful trip. With 7 of us leaving marks behind at the streets of Bangkok. Not forgetting my guy, making this trip so easy for us and appreciate all his planning and organising. Hmmm.. ya and taking care of my sis for the 6 days!

Some shoots which I took for my sister in the hotel.I'm already missing the thriving, mind-boggling, Asian metropolis.

Updating
On Thursday, I met Mr Wee and Mr Lo at Temasek Polytechnic. Through Ms Sim, they get to email me and arrange the time with me. Ms Sim is at China so she couldn’t get in touch with me but all thanks to the wonderful Internet – EMAIL.

Upon reaching Ren Ci, Mr Wee get to the office administrator and told her that TP would like to help in supporting Ling’s fund. The lady told us that it’s better we give all to her mom instead. We got her mom full name and decided to bank in the sum. Mr Lo told me that he had forwarded my mail to every course manager in the Engineering school and they are planning to do up a fund for Ling. Last time, we always like to disturb Mr Lo because he’s always so strict and with a very stern face. He seldom smiles or cracks a joke with us. But when I met him that afternoon, I find that he’s cute. His smile is just so fatherly. Hahaha… Mr Wee – as his usual self. I won’t talk much about them incase they popped by here to read! They thought I’m married as they browse through my blog!! I’m not!

The mom was so glad that I contacted many of Ling’s friends and even our TP lecturers. I feel bad as I never contacted my care person since graduate. I scare that she’ll scold me for not pursing in QA. That’s what Mr Wee did. He showed the sigh of ‘Ah-yo’ when he asked me what are the rest of us doing. Hee… My first email to Ms Sim is to tell her about Ling. She told Mr Lo on her contribution and the sum was too huge to bring cash in for her mom that’s why they want to write a check. I wish I could hug her now. And that’s why both the lecturers seem to be so fatherly to me as they were during my studies time.

I could see the tears in Ling mom’s eyes. She scolded me for keep giving her cash as she thought its mine. I told her it’s not; it’s from my friends and our fellow classmates. She said it’s good enough that I come by to visit Ling. All I could do is to tell her that that’s nothing much more I can do besides informing her friends and help on the funds contribution. That’s nothing more I can do to lessen neither her pain nor Ling’s pain. I do hope things can turn out good too.

I met Ah Xing for dinner and suddenly I have no appetite again. I don’t know why but maybe the problems lie in him. It’s the third time ever since we had dinner together and I can’t finish up a proper meal.
After dinner, we watched Nado Sou Sou. Personal rating 6/10.
We went to East Coast Park Mcdonalds as I’m hungry after the show. In the Mcdonalds, I met a guy I felt so familiar as if he’s my friend. His eyes even met mine and we had a good look/stare at each other for 3 seconds till I blinked away. Then I realized he’s Desmond Koh. Hahhaa… he may be thinking the same as me for that 3 seconds too.

Yesterday, Mel brought me to watch Mr Bean’s Holiday, Personal rating 6.8/10.

I couldn’t upload the BKK trip yet as the pictures are not with me. Shall update soon!

Not Tired
I don’t know why. I’m back yesterday at 1130pm, and reached home at about 1210am. The first thing I do is not to unpack but to shower and I’m with my pc. I’ve a lot of important emails to clear. And I cleared till 2am. I thought I would sleep till very late or I should be sleeping till late but I woke up at 10am (with my alarm). Everyday in Bangkok was sleeping at 3am and wake up at 10am .

With the super hot weather about 39°C, non-stop walking and little sleeping hours, I’m totally tired inside out. The hot burning weather totally burnt me. Till the 5th day, my body finally couldn’t take it anymore and I suffered the headache (as usual from the sun) and took panadol after dinner.

Strangely, I still manage to wake up at 10 today. I met up with Fang as to collect the funds from her and went over to meet Michael, Cynthia and Cecilia for lunch. Suddenly, I felt that Singapore hot weather is so much bearable than BKK but – it’s still hot! After lunch, so nice of Michael to drive me down to Ren Ci and managed to meet Ling’s mom and pass her the funds. On the way back home, Michael passed me cash to ask me to give to Ling’s mom the next time I go back. Oh my god! It’s totally sweet! Many of you, who don’t know Ling directly, actually did so much for her. I mean even a minimal sum do help. Muackz to all of you!

After Ren Ci, I came back home to meet my sister to go for audition at Henderson. The casting group still knows who I am from the last M1-MMS shoot I did with them! Then after, we go home for dinner. Still not tired. I start packing up my bag and now only left the new clothes which I had sent for washing at BKK to unpack.

Tomorrow might be meeting my TP lecturers to visit Ling. I have not been writing to them and update ever since I graduate. Since then, the very first email I sent to my care person (so call form-teacher) was to tell her the news of Ling. She’s at China working and she forwarded my mail to the rest of the QEM lecturers. I received their mails the very next day that they want to fund in. After a few days, they dropped me an email to say they want to visit her too. So sweet of them.

Anyway, I won’t be blogging on my BKK trip today. Shall do it when the mood come. It’s not as many pictures as the last time with Babe and Jing as the weather is super hot that burnt me with the feeling for photoshooting.

This is before departing. Shirlene sms me that they want to surprise my sis and asked me for the flight details. We waited for her and Angel to come before we depart. They did it once again. If I’m 18 yrs old now, I will cry if I see my darlings too. Hehehe… Ya, and also Mel’s buddy – Gerard for picking us up and send us to the airport. All honey friends around!

The sunset when I’m so high in the air. – Bangkok, here we come!
